Charles W. Beanland, 56, of Acton, MA, died Friday, February 1, 2013 at the Lahey Clinic Medical Center in Burlington. 

Born in Luton, England, he was the son of Dorothy Beanland of Acton and the late Charles John Beanland, who died last September.  At the age of 7, Charles and his family moved from England to settle in Acton.  A graduate of Lawrence Academy in Groton, he established a heavy equipment and landscaping business.  In later years the business transitioned to specializing in smaller equipment and waste management services.

Charles met his future wife, Louise M. Bellantoni when they were teenagers, and the couple settled in Acton and shared 27 years of marriage.  He enjoyed working around his home and yard, and especially loved taking day trips on his motorcycles and snowmobiling in Rangeley, Maine. 

Relatives and friends are invited to visiting hours on Wednesday, February 6th from 4:00-8:00pm at the Acton Funeral Home, 470 Massachusetts Ave (Rte 111) Acton.  The funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 7th 10:30am in the Church of the Good Shepherd, 164 Newtown Road, Acton. Rev. Gareth C.Evans will officiate.  Interment is planned in Mt. Hope Cemetery, West Acton, with details to be announced. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to either Buddy Dog,     151 Boston Post Rd  Sudbury, MA 01776, or to the charity of the donor's choice.
