Douglas Sturniolo, a Patrol Officer of the Acton Police Department since 2000 and a member of the Family Services Unit, has been promoted to the position of Sergeant.

Sergeant Ed Lawton, of the Acton Police Department, has been assigned to head the Town's newly formed Drug Unit.

Patrol Officer Dean Keeler has been assigned to be a detective in the newly formed Drug Unit, effective January 6, 2013.
