Freshman Kati Goguen (Acton, Mass.) scored her third and fourth goals of the season to lift the Holy Cross women's ice hockey team over non-conference foe Colby on the road by a score of 3-1.
The UNH women's basketball team was defeated 78-43 by the University at Albany in America East conference women's basketball action at SEFCU Arena. Elizabeth Belanger (Acton, Mass.) had eight points, two rebounds and one steal for UNH.
The WPI men's basketball team defeated cross-town rival Clark 57-45 in a battle of teams undefeated in NEWMAC men's basketball play. Sam Longwell (Acton, Mass.) paced WPI with a game-high 16 points.
After moving up two spots to #6 in the D3Hoops.com national poll earlier in the day, the Tufts women's basketball team improved to 16-0 with an easy 64-40 victory over Wheaton College in a non-league game. Hannah Foley (Acton, Mass.) had seven points for Tufts.
