The University of New Hampshire women's basketball team was defeated 59-50 by UMBC in America East action at the RAC Arena. Elizabeth Belanger (Acton, Mass.) at four points and four rebounds for UNH.
It was a wild night in the Rockwell Cage where the No. 22 MIT men's basketball team claimed at least a share of the regular season New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference title with a 69-60 upset over No. 5 WPI. Sam Longwell (Acton, Mass.) had four points, four rebounds and three steals for WPI.
The Tufts University women's basketball team finished its 2012-13 regular-season with records of 23-1 overall and 9-1 in NESCAC after posting a 57-37 victory over Hamilton College. Tufts was led by 13 points from sophomore Hannah Foley (Acton, Mass.)
