Kelley White of Sudbury, Mass., recorded 235 kills, 314 digs and 22 blocks in 35 matches played for Union College this season. She had 11 kills in the match against Lewis & Clark in the SUNY Oneonta Invitational ... Recorded seven kills, seven digs, and two solo blocks in the match against Middlebury ... Had seven kills against Clarkson ... Earned seven kills against Williams ... Had 13 kills against Potsdam in the Interleague Challenge ... Recorded nine kills against Sage ... Played very well against Skidmore, recording 13 digs and two blocks ... Had a career-high 17 kills against RIT ... Had seven kills and seven digs against Clarkson ... Teddy Farley and the Bentley Cross Country team qualified for the NCAA Division II Championships with a second-place finish in the NCAA East Regional Sunday afternoon at Mine Falls Park, Nashua, N.H. Teddy Farley (Acton, MA./Acton-Boxborough Reg. HS) finished 25th in 31:27.4. in the 27-team, 188-runner meet, earning All-East Region honors by virtue of placing in the top 25.  Bentley will be making its first trip as a team to the NCAA Championships since a four-year run from 2000-03. The meet will be held in Joplin, Mo. on Saturday, Nov. 17.
The Centennial Conference on Tuesday morning released its all-conference women's soccer team and one player from Centennial-champion Haverford College earned honors as Elizabeth Newman (Sudbury, Mass.) was named to the second team. Newman helped spearhead a defense that surrendered only 17 goals all season and allowed a goals-against average of just 0.85 per game. Haverford recorded nine shutouts over the 2012 schedule, only one shy of tying the league's shutout leaders. A junior, Newman also added to Haverford's offense contributing a pair of goals along with two assists. Her lone game-winning goal came in the final three minutes of an eventual 2-1 victory over visiting Elizabethtown College on Sept. 22.
Kevin Hughes (Acton, Mass.) had a reception for 9 yards in Wesleyan's 19-7 loss to Williams. For the season, Hughes has grabbed 28 receptions for 408 yards and three touchdowns,
The Little East Conference office announced its 2012 Fall All-Academic Teams. Among those honored was junior field hockey player Leddy Gallagher (Acton, Mass.). To earn a spot on the squad, a student-athlete must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.3 or higher through the 2012 spring semester and be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. The student-athlete must also be a full-time member of a varsity sport and be enrolled in its institution for a full academic year.
Swimming and diving (0-3) was handed their third loss of season in a 211-81 defeat at Penn State. In the last race of the afternoon, Villanova's 200 freestyle relay team featuring Ben Smith (Sudbury, Mass.), Braden Clarke, Kyle Grant and Scott Thiede swam to a first-place finish with a time of 1:29.97.
Junior Hayley Brock (Acton, Mass.) scored in the final five minutes of the game to propel fourth-seeded Maryland to a 2-0 victory against Stony Brook in the first round of the NCAA tournament on Saturday night at Ludwig Field.
