Acton Democrats Elect Delegates to Statewide Convention

12 delegates will attend the Democratic Convention in July.

As part of the statewide effort, Acton Democrats held their caucus on Sunday, March 3 and elected 12 delegates to attend the 2013 Democratic Convention in July, Brigid Brady recently announced.

The delegates who will attend the convention are: Adrian Hancock, Dave Barrat, Bob Ferrara, Tom Dionesotes, William Romer, Pam Harting-Barrat, Catherine Chase, Katie Green, Meg Reed, Ginny Dow, Deena Ferrara and Molly Hardy Romer. They will join Democratic Town Committee Chairwoman Phyllis Novick in representing Acton Democrats at the statewide Democratic Convention in July.

“It is very exciting to see fellow Democrats coming together and organizing on the ground. The people of Massachusetts voted overwhelmingly for President Obama to be re-elected and we cannot send a Republican to Washington that will go against the President’s agenda. While Democrats across the state have been organizing and collecting signatures for our candidates, Republicans have been in a chaotic whirlwind, rushing to buy signatures because they don’t have the grassroots organization to collect them,” Massachusetts Democratic Party Executive Director Clare Kelly said in a release.

Over 500 caucuses are being held across the Commonwealth this month where thousands will be in attendance talking about this upcoming election.

I was just saying...what the Commonwealth really needs is more political influence from Democrats.

Dems: please take this message to your leadership:
All problems can not and ought not be fixed by the government. Stop wasting a limited resource (tax payers hard earned dollars) on things that the individual ought to be paying for. When the debt bomb goes off, it will drag the ENTIRE country down with it, including our ability to sustain safety net programs. We must be fiscally wise.
At this moment, we are not.
