Acton Police, Fire Departments Called to Office Fire

The following information was supplied by the Acton Police Department. Where arrests are mentioned, it does no indicate a conviction.

 

The Acton Police and Fire departments answered a fire alarm that rang at 6:35 a.m. on Sept. 11 on Great Road.

Officials received a report of heavy smoke coming from inside the structure.

The fire was located in an office and was extinguished at 6:52 a.m.

The State Fire Marshall was requested and notified.

No other information was available.

In other police news from Sept. 11:

  • Officers responded to an accident on Main Street at 8:10 a.m. No injuries were reported.
  • An official from Victor School reported a student walked off at about 10:07 a.m. After the report came in, the student was found behind the school unharmed.
  • The department received a report of a sexual assault on Davis Road at 1:35 p.m.
  • A Putnam Road resident reported a housebreak and a necklace was missing.
  • A Spring Hill Road resident reported someone or something making screaming noises at 10:02 p.m. nothing was found when officers arrived.
