Acton Police Log from September 12 to 14

A man stands naked, visible to others in his residence - A dog bites owner - A car alarm that wouldn't shut off - and more.

Stopped at Red:

  • 9/12/11 - 11:46 a.m. - School Street: Someone reported that the traffic lights were not cycling properly. The caller reports that the red light on Main Street may be too long.

Receiving Threats:

  • 9/12/11 - 3:09 p.m. - Brook Street: Someone came into the police station to report that they were receiving threats.

  • 9/12/11 - 3:48 p.m. - Long Ridge Road: According to the log, police responded to a 6 year-old who was home alone. The mother came home and said she was running one minute late and that is why the child was alone.

What Is So Suspicious?

  • 9/12/11 - 5:01 p.m. - Great Road: Someone called the police to report suspicious activity near the reservoir on Great Road. The caller reported one male party fishing with three fishing poles. Police checked the area and nothing was found.

  • 9/12/11 - 9:58 p.m. - Great Road: Police received a call about a car alarm sounding for an extended period of time.

Tree Crew Causes Traffic:

  • 9/13/11 - 9:32 a.m. - Stow Street: Police spoke to a tree crew that was causing traffic on Stow Street and told the crew to stop until there was a detail officer on scene.

Strolling With The Shaver:

  • 9/13/11 - 9:45 a.m. - Robinwood Road: Someone reported a male party walking down the street talking to himself with an electric shaver in his hand.

Crying On The Sidewalk:

  • 9/13/11 - 4:18 p.m. - Great Road: Someone reported seeing a female sitting on the sidewalk crying with visible scratches on her. Police responded but the subject was gone upon arrival.

Planning An Explosion:

  • 9/13/11 - 10:33 p.m. - Summer Street: Someone called the police to report that three men were planning an explosion at her home. Police checked the house and nothing was found.

The Music Never Stops:

  • 9/14/11 - 2:16 a.m. - Great Road: An Acorn Park resident called the police to report loud music coming from the area. Police discovered the music was coming from a band at the Acton Jazz Cafe and were advised to pack up for the night.

Naked In The Doorway:

  • 9/14/11 - 6:35 a.m. - Quaboag Road: Someone called the police to report a male subject visibly naked in his residence.

Dog Bite:

  • 9/14/11 - 6:57 a.m. - Wood Lane: Police received a faxed report about a dog bite. The victim was the owner of the dog and he was bit on his finger.

Drugs Turn Out To Be Trash:

  • 9/14/11 - 2:48 p.m. - Hayward Road: Someone called the police to report that her son found a few baggies with a white powder substance in them. Police responded to the scene and discovered that it was just trash.
