Acton Resident Arrested on Larceny Charge

The following arrest information was supplied by the Acton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

On Monday, Sept. 3, at 12:05 a.m., the Acton Police Department arrested a local man on a larceny charge.

Jeremiah F. McCarthy, 45, of 74 Parker St., Apt. C, faces a charge of larceny over $250.

In other police news from Sept. 3:

  • A resident on Strawberry Hill Road reported receiving phone threats.
  • A homeowner on Beth Circle reported some type of animal in his front yard and had concerns. Nothing found when officers arrived.
  • Mailboxes were found damaged on Huron Road.
  • Resident on Simon Willard Road found $165 on a path that leads to Acton-Boxborough Regional High School.
  • A caller on Windsor Avenue reported that an elderly gentleman came in to buy $750 in gift cards. He said that four men were waiting at his house to give him $1 million that he had won if he brought the cards. The caller was able to get the elderly man's plate number as he was leaving.
