Acton Sports Recap (Acton-Boxborough Varsity Schedule)
A-B Boys Baseball plays an amazing five games this week.
- The A-B boys baseball team (6-4) started off their five game week by defeating the Newton South Lions on Monday, 6-1. A-B looks to remain hot as they travel to Wayland on Tuesday. Game time is scheduled for 4 p.m.
- The A-B girls softball team (5-4) also defeated Newton South on Monday by a score of 15-0. The girls got great pitching by Kara O’Reily and Sarah Ropiak to win their fifth game of the season. The girls get back to action Wednesday when they travel to Bedford in another important DCL match-up.
- The A-B boys tennis team evened their record up at (2-2) on Friday when they defeated the Lincoln-Sudbury Warriors 3-2.
- The A-B boys lacrosse team (9-5) has now won four games in a row as they defeated King Phillip High School 14-0 on Saturday. A-B had a big win last Tuesday night as they defeated Wayland 10-7 under the lights. A-B hosts Waltham on Tuesday and Westford Academy on Thursday this week.
- The Acton-Boxborough girls lacrosse team (7-5-1) defeated Chelmsford, 19-10 , and lost to Weston, 17-11, last week. The girls travel to Waltham today. game-time is scheduled for 3:45 p.m.

- Bentley University junior Megan Wiggins (Acton, MA and A-B) finished her season as the team's goal leader with 46.
- James Madison freshman softball player Cassidy Clayton (Acton, MA and A-B) finished her first year with the Division 1 Lady Dukes.
- Endicott College freshmen Dana Duquette (Boxborough, MA, A-B) and Jake Northrup (Boxborough, MA, A-B) finished up successful freshman years with the Gulls. They narrowly missed out on a TCCC championship, falling this past weekend to WNEC in both of their games.
