UPDATE: BYOB Policy at Acton's Bueno Y Sano [VIDEO]

Owner of Bueno Y Sano, a new Mexican restaurant on Kelly's Corner, met with the Board of Selectmen Monday to discuss a carry-in alcohol license.

UPDATE: is open for business today!

Monday, March 26, the Acton Board of Selectmen (BOS) granted owner, Jason Brady permission to have a carry-in license (bring-your-own-beer) for his new restaurant.

"It seems to complement our concept pretty well," said Brady. "It doesn’t dominate our menu – it’s certainly not a drinking venue."

Brady went on to point out that a few other restaurants in town have experienced success with operating under a carry-in license.

"It exists in a couple other locations in town and I think it may work for us," said Brady.

Brady made a plan going forward on how Bueno Y Sano staff will handle customers with the carry-in policy and drafted copies for the Selectmen.

“It’s not mandated because it’s carry-in but it’s good to know that you’re thinking that way because if you do decide that you want to go for either a full liquor or beer and wine license later on then it’s good to already have that plan in place and be thinking in that mode,” said BOS Chair, Mike Gowing.
