Construction at South Acton Station to Cause Service Adjustments on Commuter Rail

Bus service will replace trains between the Fitchburg and South Acton stations.

Construction will commence tomorrow for the new South Acton commuter rail station. Due to construction, the current station platform will be closed and a temporary platform will be built to accommodate passengers.

The temporary platform will be located on the outbound end of the station.

Due to track work involved in the reconstruction, passengers will be bused between the South Acton and Fitchburg stations on Saturday, Sept. 15 and Sunday, Sept. 16.

Inbound

Passengers of trains: 1402/2402, 1406/2406, 1408/2408, 1410/2420, 1412/2412 and 1414/2416 will be bussed between Fitchburg and South Acton.

Outbound

Passengers of trains 1405/2405, 1407/2407, 1409/2409, 1411/411, 1413/2413 and 1415/2415 will be bussed between South Acton and Fitchburg..

Delays of up to 30 minutes may occur due to the bus connection. We apologize for any inconvenience this necessary track work may cause.
