Acton Teenager Dies at Comcast Center 'Rave' Concert

Two people died and 45 were arrested at Mansfield's Comcast Center last night. If you were at the concert, please contact Acton editor Patrick Clark: patrick.clark@patch.com.

An Acton teenager was one of two people who died last night at a Comcast Center concert, news reports say.

According to Mansfield police, 19-year-old Connor Brandon, of Acton died, and 45 people were arrested during a techno-rave concert, the "Identity Festival," at the event in Mansfield Thursday night. Brandon reportedly died at Boston Medical Center. Dominic Impelizzieri, 27, of Syracuse, N.Y., also died at the concert.

According to a statement from Police Chief Arthur M. O’Neill, both Brandon and Impelizzieri died after using drugs and alcohol. It has been reported that 21 people were brought to Sturdy Hospital in Attleboro for drug-related issues.

Impelizzieri also had several illegal drugs and alcohol in his system. He had been resucitated by emergency medical personnel at the concert, but later succombed in the morning at Rhode Island Hospital.

UPDATE: Mansfield Police said they will continue to actively investigate the issue.

45 people were arrested on various charges including ten for drug possession, and 25 people for being under 21 in possession alcohol beverages. Three others were arrested for disorderly conduct, another for domestic assault and battery and five por a possession of a forged registry document. 

Alex Marotte, 21, of Springfield was arrested and charged with possession of a class B substance (Ecstasy) with intent to distribute. 

19 people were transported to area hospitals for drug issues at the concert. One other person was transported later when he was found to be under the influence of drugs lying in the street during outbound traffic and one other was transported  in the morning after "stumbling" out of the woods.
