Snow More! 4-8 Inches of Snow Saturday Into Sunday
The area could see around a half a foot of more snow Saturday night into Sunday.

There are still huge snowbanks everywhere from the Blizzard of '13, even after moderate temperatures this week, but Old Man Winter isn't done with the Boston area yet.
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory in effect until Sunday at 1 p.m. for a storm that will pass through the area starting Saturday night.
The forecast calls for 1-3 inches of snow on Saturday night and another 3-5 inches on Sunday, mainly before 4 p.m.
Visibility won't be great either, as winds could gust as high as 43 mph on Sunday, blowing the snow around and producing wind chill values as low as -2 on Sunday night.
The gusty winds will continue on Presidents Day, which will be sunny with a high near 32 but wind chill values as low as -4.

I pop my own, always, with a Micro popper. I do not use the highly saturated/salted bags. More healthy with a microwave popper.Just add a little salt after.

Yah, my issue is I am a New Englander. We learn to expect snow in winter and deal with it.
I think parents should protest Mother Nature that she caused snow and they may have to do some parenting.
Poor Mother Nature forget there's no school this week. Wasted a few no school days, didn't she?

So what did we end up with? 3 inches maybe? big wind gusts and 3 inches. I think we can all survive this one.. We got the baddest last week and came out on top. every other storm from now on will be a cake walk.

Plows? Do you exist? On my drive from Waltham to Cambridge this morning not one road had been sanded or plowed. The one plow that drove past me in Waltham had its plow up, as my car is fishtailing by BJ's. As I crossed over into Belmont, sanded streets, black pavement showing. Finally arriving into Cambridge, perfectly sanded streets and completely plow, didn't even appear to have snowed. Waltham had a chance to prove themselves with another snowfall, and failed yet again. Pathetic.

My complaint in Watertown also -- All plows should be down when traveling from job to job--each one shaving a bit more off the narrow streets in this town. Whatever happened to doing a favor. They're going to get paid for their private plowing. Provide a bit of public service between jobs.

I am retired. However, I do lots of volunteer work. Always have done so and never expected payment when "doing unto others". Making our narrow streets wider when traveling them anyway is a no-brainer. I do it with the tires of my van when I can.

GB plows are expensive and break when pushed to the extreme limit like in the blizzard we have, why should someone wear out their plow when not getting paid for it? Do you work for free to?

If they are not DPW vehicles No private contractor will drop his plow unless he is supposed to be plowing that area, They wouldn't risk breaking anything plowing whay they are not supposed to be plowing. It's an expense they don't need. They are assigned areas to plow, and that's where they drop their plows. Why incur possible un-needed expenses?

I have also seen city plows and Transit Plows driving along not plowing, sanding or salting. Also seen them with plows down traveling on clear pavement. YOUR tax dollars at work!!!

My tax dollars are working just fine thank you. You widen streets with the tires of your van? Thats great until you blow out a tire and the mney comes out of your pocket to repair or replace it. Thats why private contractors do not plow where they are not assigned,
