Two Acton Men Arrested on Different Charges

The following arrest information was supplied by the Acton Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

 

Two local men were taken into custody by the Acton Police Department on Nov. 20 and are facing separate charges.

At 1:55 p.m., the department received a call regarding a domestic issue on Hosmer Street.

After Officer Michael Cogan arrived and completed an investigation, Joseph E. Conroy, 57, of 119 Hosmer St., was arrested and charged with assault and battery.

Later in the day the department received a warrant for the arrest of Jesse J. Carpenter, 22, of 33 Harris St., Apt. 28

He was apprehended at 371 Main Street by Officer Kevin Heffernan.

In other police news from Nov. 20:

  • A High Street resident reported a car break and $15 stolen from the car.
  • The manager from the Concordian reported he was concerned that someone who was staying there had not been around for days.
  • A Greenwood Lane resident a landscaper was blowing leaves in her yard.
  • A Carlton Drive resident reported a suspicious, dark-colored small truck with an extended cab had been parked on her street. She said her car had been broken in to the previous night, as well.
