After passing the Acton and the Boxborough Town Meeting in spring, the Lower Fields Project has started it's first phase of construction. The project is due to be completed by the end of August, 2012.
Note: The T.J. O'Grady Skate Park is closed during construction.

I have to disagree with the countering comments. I don't think the schools are over-emphasizing on the extra curriculum activities like sports until an extent of neglecting or under-prioritizing the educational portion. As a parent, I believe that extra curriculum activities such as sports are just as important, on top of the educational programs in schools. In fact, sports keep our brains fit and healthy and this is especially important for children who needs to have an active mind in order to absorb what they learn both in school and at home continuously. In addition, it also helps to set a platform for kids to build up their interests in sports and excel not only in studies but also in their hobbies. - http://www.metzlerhomebuilders.com
