Voters Ask: Burning Question for Eldridge or Cavaretta?
We want you, the voter, to ask the tough questions of the state senate candidates. Submit your questions now to Patch and ActonTV for the live debate on Oct. 17.
Patch & ActonTV are seeking questions from readers and viewers to be used during the “live” televised debate between incumbent Massachusetts State Senator Jamie Eldridge and challenger Dean Cavaretta scheduled for Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at 7:30 p.m. at the ActonTV studio.
Questions will be randomly selected by debate moderator Don MacKenzie, and will be asked directly of the candidates. No questions will be given to the candidates in advance so their answers will not be scripted.
Both candidates are currently campaigning for the state senate seat in the Middlesex & Worcester District which serves Acton, Ayer, Boxborough, Devens, Harvard, Hudson, Littleton, Maynard, Marlborough, precinct 3 in Northborough, Shirley, Southborough, Stow, precincts 2 / 3 / 5 in Sudbury and Westborough.
ActonTV will telecast the debate live on all its channels --- Comcast Channels
8 / 9 and 99 and Verizon Channels 40 / 41 and 45 --- while Patch will provide live coverage of the event.
“We want our readers to ask the really hard questions for this debate so they can be totally informed about the position of each candidate,” said Rob Fucci, editor of Acton Patch.
Simon Bunyard, executive director at ActonTV said that “we are excited to join with Acton Patch to bring this live debate to a large number of voters in their homes so it is vital they have the opportunity to send questions in advance so that they may make an informed decision about the candidate of their choice.”
