Where Are Acton's Most Ignored Stop Signs?
Stop signs are not optional, but they're sometimes treated as if they are.
There are hundreds of stop signs in Acton, but all too often, they are overlooked when drivers are in a rush.
We have all seen it and probably many would admit of a stop sign roll-through at one point in time.
Do you know of a location where a stop sign is frequently rolled through or ignored?

The intersection at Arlington and Central Streets in West Acton. People coming down on Arlington towards West Acton often don't realize they have a stop sign and that drivers on Central Street don't.

At both intersections bicycles run the stop signs regularly.
After I told one gentleman that he needed to stop, he responded, "I slowed down".
I had just missed hitting him because my sixth sense told me to stop.

Having lived here a long time I can say without hesitation that many of the Stop signs in Acton could safely be replaced by Yield signs. Of course that will never happen because we will be told, "It wouldn't be safe."
