Foreclosures in Acton Continue to Drop
Middlesex County following trend.
A significant decline in Massachusetts foreclosures during the month of March indicates the foreclosure crisis is over, according to an article in Monday's issue of Banker & Tradesman. In Massachusetts, both the Town of Acton and Middlesex County are also seeing drops in activity. In Acton, foreclosure petitions dropped from 3 to 1 when comparing the March 2012 report to the March 2013 report. In year-to-date statistics, the number has droped from 8 to 3. When comparting the last two March reports in Middlesex County, the decrease is 79 percent while the year-to-date difference is 54 percent. Lenders filed 284 petitions to foreclose in March, an 82 percent decrease from 1,621 in March 2012, according to data from The Warren Group, …

CATZ (Competitive Athletic Training Zone), located in the Teamworks Acton building on Great Road, is dedicated to the athletic development, and general fitness, of youth through adults. They design strength and conditioning programs for specific sports (football, baseball,) as well as general conditioning, not necessarily unique to a sport, but complement most. Supercuts Raising Money to Pay Bills of Hair Stylist and Her Daughter Who Were Injured in Bombing
The Main Street salon joins salons around the area in Boston Strong Celeste-a-Thon on May 13.
Tomorrow, Supercuts in Acton will join Boston area salons in an effort to raise money for a Boston hair stylist and her daughter who were severely injured in the Boston Marathon Bombings. Celeste Corcoran worked at Emerge Spa & Salon for more than 13 years. The Boston Strong Celeste-a-Thon will raise money to pay for the medical costs for Celeste and her daughter Sydney. A percentage of all proceeds and sales from Supercuts tomorrow will go to the Celeste and Sydney Recovery Fund. The Supercuts on Main Street joins Supercuts salons around New England and 20 other area salons in the effort to raise money to help the mother and daughter.
