Customers that bring a grocery bag of non-perishable food items for the Acton Food Pantry on will receive one free ice cream cone as a “thank you” from The Happy Chocolatier on Saturday, September 22. The Happy Chocolatier is celebrating the launch of Lizzy’s Ice Cream in its store that day. Customers may come in for tasting samples of Lizzy’s Ice Cream, hand dipped treats and Cubze, and meet Lizzy’s mascot, Super Cow, as part of the celebration. To restock their shelves after the summer, the Acton Food Pantry is most in need of spaghetti sauce, peanut butter, 100% juice boxes, canned stews, muffin mixes and toilet paper, though all types of non-perishable food are appreciated.
