Come to the Acton Memorial Library for a Volunteer Recognition Event at which the library will recognize its 2011 volunteers, who gave thousands of hours to Memorial Library and its users, with remarks from local officials, refreshments and selections from Open Door Theatre's upcoming production of Fiddler on the Roof.

The volunteers helped out in many ways, including making photocopies, shelf reading, preparing crafts for children’s programs, readying library materials for use, cleaning CDs and DVDs, and dozens of other tasks that made it possible for library staff to focus on their jobs.  The following eleven ‘Super Volunteers’ who gave more than 100 hours will also receive special recognition: Irene Cavanagh, Andrew Chen, Caroline Cook, Marisha Geis, Debby Hess, Chris and Ian Hirst, Lauren Hutton, Bunny Lawton, Brenda Nelson, and Nola Sheffer.

The snow date for this event is Sunday, March 4 from 2:30 to 4 p.m.
