A River Cleaning Contest, Meetings and More

We've got five things you need to see, do and know on Oct. 1 in Acton.

1. 5th Annual Intel-OARS innovators Contest: High School students are invited to participate in the 5th Annual Intel-OARS Environmental Innovators Contest in which participants conjure up creative ideas to solve environmental issues in the Concord-Sudbury-Assabet rivers watershed. 2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Historic District Commission at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall, the Morrison Farm Committee at 7:30 p.m. at the Pubic Safety Facility, the Planning Board at 7:30 p.m. at Town Hall and the Recreation Commission at 6:45 p.m. at Town Hall.
