A-B Field Hockey Plays for the Cure, Oktoberfest on Saturday
We've got five things you need to see, do and know on Oct. 4 in Acton.
1. A-B Field Hockey's Play 4 the Cure: This Saturday, Oct. 5, A-B field hockey will play the third and fourth games out of five in its annual "Play for the Cure" fundraiser to help fight breast cancer. At 5:30 p.m. at Leary, they JV squad will take on Central Catholic, with the varsity to follow at 7 p.m. Get the details here.
2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Open Space Committee at 7:30 a.m. at Acton Town Hall and the Acton-Boxborough Regional school District-Acton-Boxborough Transitional School Committee at 8:15 a.m. at RJ Grey Junior High School.

4. Oktoberfest Road Race: This Saturday, Oct. 5, the Oktoberfest Road Race kicks off the West Acton Merchants Oktoberfest Celebration with a 5k Run-Walk through the village of West Acton. Race day registration begins at 8 a.m. Get the details here.
5. Showers, Maybe: Theres a chance of showers today and high of 76, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts more possible rain overnight and a low of 50.
