Celebrate National Chemistry Week in Acton
We've got five things you need to see, do and know on Oct. 22 in Acton.
1. Celebrate National Chemistry Week: At 2 p.m. Tuesday, the Discovery Museums invite you to explore the wonders of chemistry with some fun, hands-on activities around this year’s theme "Energy: Now and Forever!" Get the details here.
2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for Oct. 22 include: the Historic District Commission at 7 p.m., with a notice of a public hearing at 9:30 p.m.
3. ICYMI: In case you missed it, we shared the news Monday that Red Raven, a new gastropub, plans to open in early to mid-November in Nagog Park. If you haven't yet, definitely check it out.
4. Upcoming HGRM Volunteer Orientation: Household Goods Recycling of Massachusetts, the Acton-based nonprofit also known as HGRM, is looking for new volunteers. And they're hosting a new volunteer orientation at 1 p.m. this Wednesday, Oct. 23. Get the details here.
5. Showers Maybe: Should be mostly sunny today, with a 20 percent chance of showers and a high of 64, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a partly cloudy evening with a low of 37.
