Dance Party at the Acton Jazz Cafe

What you need to see, do and know on Jan. 17 in Acton.

1. Dance Party! Lifelong local resident B J Magoon will bring his band Driving Sideways to the Acton Jazz Cafe at 9 p.m. Friday, Jan. 17, for "a dance priority mix of swing, blues, roots rock, blue-eyed soul and Zydeco music. Get the details here.  

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, there are not public meetings posted for Friday, Jan. 17.

4. Food DriveThis Saturday, Jan. 18, the Acton and Boxborough Democratic Town Committees will be conducting a food drive for the AB Community Supper and Food Pantry at both Roche Brothers and Donelan's supermarkets from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Get the details here. 

5. Sunny Day, Snowy Night? Should be mostly sunny today with a high in the mid-40s, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts possible snow overnight and a low of 26.
