Science Adventures with Beads and Prostate Cancer Awareness

We've got five things you need to see, do and know on Sept. 12 in Acton.

1. Peep Science Adventures: Bead PatternsAt 10 a.m. this morning, drop by the Discovery Museums for a "Children's Discovery Classroom" in which young kids can organize collections of beads by sorting them into different categories and create necklaces by repeating patterns. Get the details here.  

2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for today include the Acton Leadership Group at 7:30 a.m. and the Community Preservation Committee Public Hearing at 7:30 p.m.
