Selectman Clough Won't Seek Re-Election

1. David Clough Not Seeking Re-Election: The selectman announced he will not seek re-election in a board post on Patch earlier this week, including a link to his website, where he explains the decision.
2. Today in Public Meetings: According to the town website, public meetings posted for Jan. 8 include the Acton-Boxborough Transitional School Committee's Superintendent Search Subcommittee at 3:30 p.m.

4. HGRM Volunteer Orientation: The Acton-based nonprofit Household Goods Recycling of Massachusetts (HGRM) needs volunteers and will host an orientation for new ones from 12:30 to 2 p.m. this Wednesday, Jan. 8. Get the details here.
5. Sunny Day, Cloudy Night: Should be sunny and cold today, with a high of 21, according to the National Weather Service, which predicts a cloudy evening and low of 11.
