Smoke Alarms Available For Acton Seniors
Check which dates in August the commuter rail won't run through Acton.
1. The Acton Fire Department, in cooperation with the Acton Council on Aging, will install free battery-operated smoke alarms and provide educational materials to eligible seniors.
The Fire Department will provide and install the alarms upon request. Call the Acton Council on Aging to sign up at 978-929-6652.
2. Train service reminder: Due to work on the Fitchburg Line Improvement Project, there is no train service west of S. Acton on the following dates:- Aug. 10, 11, 17, 18, 24 & 25.
3. Come by Acton Memorial Library from 7-8 p.m. for MLN Digital Media. Come learn the ins and outs of downloading ebooks and audiobooks from the library. No registration required.
4. Free Concert Night at NARA Park: Indian Hill Music Big Band, Aug. 8.
