Part One: In the spring of 2013 I wrote a blog for the Acton Forum that introduced the topic of Common Core. Since then, I’ve been trying to find out more about it and what it means to Acton and the students in the school system. There are many nicely produced logos and superficial narratives that sound virtuous if you don’t think about it too much. Thankfully, many of us ARE thinking about it and conducting our own research on the topic. My research has led me to a recurring scenario where I do some research and ask questions, but the questions are never answered to my satisfaction.
