Tom has researched addictions and mental health, working on developing a fully naturalistic model of behavioral disorders.  He is on the cutting edge of science-based naturalism.  Tom believes that a naturalistic understanding of ourselves offers a realistic, effective, and compassionate basis for holding each other responsible which has progressive and humanistic implications for society and social policy.

Tom founded and directs the web sites for Centerfornaturalism.org and Naturalism.org.
