Dessert Cabaret: Historic Piano, Talented Musicians, Delicious Desserts!

The Acton Memorial Library Foundation is proud to announce that the third biannual Dessert Cabaret will be held on Saturday, October 25th from 7:30 –

10:00 pm at the Acton Memorial Library ( 486 Main St, Acton, MA ).

This event provides a rare opportunity to hear music performed on the historic Fitzgerald Piano. The piano was given to Acton by John F. (Honey Fitz) and Mary Hannon Fitzgerald (grandparents of John F. and Edward M. Kennedy) when the Acton High School opened in 1926. The piano has been carefully restored using Community Preservation funds.

The evening will include performances by piano students who have won awards at national and international piano competitions such as the Bay State Piano Contest, the Granite State Piano Competition, New England Piano Teachers’ Association, Massachusetts Music Teachers’ Association, and Steinway Society of Massachusetts competitions.

In addition to the music, guests will be able to sample from a large array of delicious desserts and non-alcoholic drinks.

Tickets for the Dessert Cabaret are $20. Tickets are available now at the Acton Memorial Library and will be available at the door. All proceeds will benefit the library.

The Dessert Cabaret is sponsored by the Acton Memorial Library Foundation in collaboration with the Acton-Boxborough Cultural Council. This event is made possible thanks to generous donations from Minuteman Technical Night School Culinary Arts Program, Idylwilde Farms, The Happy Chocolatier, Nashoba Brook Bakery, Annie’s Gluten Free Bakery, Crossroads Café, Dunkin’ Donuts, Monsoon Bistro, Not Your Average Joe’s, Orange Leaf Catering, Atlantic Sea Grill, Concord Teacakes, Trader Joe’s, Starbucks, Donelan’s Supermarket,
Le Lyonnais Restaurant, Verrill Farm, Stop and Shop, Acton Coffee House and others.
