Details on Road Closures, Paving-Related Disruptions on Friday in Acton

Due to MBTA work and the town's street paving plans.

The town's paving plans and MBTA construction will combine to close or otherwise affect several roads around Acton this Friday, Nov. 15 through the weekend.

According to the town website, final paving will be done tomorrow, Nov. 15, on Kingman Road and Arlington Street -- from Summer Street to Notre Dame Road.

"While the crew is working, there will be no on-street parking allowed within this area," the town website said, adding that a police officer will be in the area to direct traffic and signs will be posted to divert traffic.

Meanwhile, ongoing MBTA work will impact a section of Central Street between 11 p.m. this Friday through around 5 a.m. next Monday, Nov. 18. During that time, the section of Central Street by Nash Road will be closed due to the construction on the eastern Central Street grade crossing.

"Work will continue around the clock to add a second track and replace the signals," the town website explains. "Police Officers, as well as message boards, will be stationed on both sides of the crossings."
