Flu Clinic, Household Waste Drop-Off This Saturday

Clinic will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Acton COA and the drop-off is from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the DPW garage.

 The town of Acton will help residents deal with hazards to their health with a pair of events this weekend.

One is a walk-in flu clinic, which Acton Nursing Service will host from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Council on Aging.

Please bring your insurance card to the clinic as we will be billing Medicare and many of the HMO's. If you do not have insurance, you will not be turned away from the clinic. Acton Nursing Service's goal is to offer and vaccinate as many residents as we can to promote wellness in the Town of Acton!

The other town event is the 2013 Fall Household Hazardous Waste Collection Day, to be held from 9 to 11:30 a.m. at the DPW garage at 14 Forest Road.

According to the town’s description, the semi-annual collection event “offers residents a safe and legal way of disposing of hazardous materials.” Television sets, fluorescent light bulbs and nickel-cadmium, button or lithium batteries are among the items accepted at the Fall Household Waste Collection Day.
