Get the Details on Acton's Veterans Day Ceremonies

Acton’s Veterans Day Ceremony will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 11, on the Town Common.

According to the town website, while the ceremony begins promptly at 11 a.m., the Acton Minutemen actually will begin firing sporadic volleys a few minutes earlier, at 10:50 a.m. 

Then, Acton’s Veteran Service Officer, James MacRae, will deliver a speech. Followed by a moment of silence observed at 11:11 a.m. and a History of the Flags Ceremony presented by the Acton Minutemen’s Yankee Doodle Drum Corps.

Finally, the ceremony concludes at about 11:35 a.m. with a benediction from the Rev. Dr. Andrew Armstrong.
