UPDATE: Forecasters Increase Predicted Snow Totals for Saturday

Another round of snow is headed this way.

Updated Saturday at 8:39 a.m.: The National Weather Service has increased its predictions for a Saturday storm that could also bring high winds to the area.

In Acton, the prediction is that snow will move into the area, mostly after 2 p.m. During the daytime hours, about 1 to 3 inches of snow are possible.

After nightfall, the heaviest snow should arrive. There is a 90 percent chance of snow and 3 to 7 inches are possible, mostly before 3 a.m.

A winter storm warning is in effect for Acton due to the expected storm.
Original Story: Rest your back on Friday. It looks like you will need to shovel snow again over the weekend.

Another winter storm is headed toward New England. Greater Boston should see the storm on Saturday afternoon and night.

The National Weather Service is predicting 2-4 inches of snow for the area on Saturday, with accumulations of 4-6 inches possible in some parts of the state.

“Strong to damaging winds” up to 50 mph are possible on Saturday night. More heavy snow on already snow-covered trees and power lines coupled with strong winds on Saturday night could lead to power outages.
