HGRM Lands Grant Funding

Household Goods Recycling of Massachusetts has reportedly received a grant from the Foundation for MetroWest.

HGRM, an Acton-based nonprofit, has reportedly received a boost from a regional grant.

The Foundation for MetroWest last week announced its award of $228,000 in grants to organizations in communities west of Boston, according to the Globe.

The 2013 distributions reportedly supported three key service areas: Arts and culture, environment, and family support. HGRM -- which provides household goods, free of charge, to people in need -- fell into the family support category.

“During this time of unprecedented financial need, Foundation for MetroWest is proud to support organizations throughout the region,” said Judith Salerno, the foundation's executive director, in the report on Boston.com. “By distributing these much needed funds, we are doing our part to ensure that the MetroWest region remains vital and strong.”
