Sidewalk Snow Removal Planned in Acton

The Acton Highway Department has announced its plans for sidewalk snow removal.

According to the town website, the Highway Department, with assistance from contractors, will begin the sidewalk snow removal around midnight this Friday, Dec. 20. During the operations, residents and others are asked not to park in the streets so as not to impede the work.

They’ll start with Mass Ave, Spruce and Arlington street in West Acton, moving on to the School and Main street areas in South Acton as time allows.

“We are aware that this can be disruptive to Acton residents,” the notice says, “However it is the only time that the roads are clear of traffic and allows for this removal.”
