What's Going On: Announcements You May Have Missed

Here's a smattering of some of of the community bulletins uploaded to Patch in the past week.

  • The Discovery Museums Kicks Off Online Auction Fundraiser October 22

The Discovery Museums will kick off their 3rd annual online auction fundraiser on Monday October 22 at 8 am at www.biddingforgood.com/discoverymuseums. The auction will close on Friday, November 2, at 8 pm. 

Individuals and local and regional businesses have come together to support the Museums, donating popular and hard-to-get items to be auctioned off. The catalog will have well over 100 items, including:  Celtic, Bruins and Patriots tickets; a night at the Liberty Hotel; a Cancun family vacation; lift tickets; New York Skyride Tickets; restaurant gift certificates; tour and lunch at WBUR; one week in a cottage in Maine; portrait sessions and so much more!

  • Nashoba Brooks School Announces Full-Day Kindergarten Program

Nashoba Brooks School, located at 200 Strawberry Hill Road, Concord announces an exciting update to their Kindergarten program for next year.  Starting fall 2013, Kindergarten will transition to a full-day program.

  • Acton PD Takes Part in 'Operation Yellow Blitz'

The Acton Police Department will participate in Operation Yellow Blitz, Wednesday, October 24, 2012. Operation Yellow Blitz is an appeal by the MASSDOT, Registry of Motor Vehicles Division, in conjunction with local law enforcement and school pupil transportation providers, to draw attention to the national problem of vehicles driving past school buses that are picking-up and discharging school pupils.
