When Does Acton's Winter Parking Ban Start?

When wintry weather rolls around, many towns restrict or ban overnight on-street parking as a safety precaution.

When wintry weather rolls around, many New England towns restrict or ban overnight on-street parking as a safety precaution, and as a means to allow emergency vehicles and plows more room to navigate streets that can become slick under the ice and snow.

Winter hasn't officially arrived here in Acton -- excepting the spot of slushy hail/sleet last week -- but the town's seasonal ban on overnight parking has already taken effect.

From Acton's town website:

Residents are reminded that a winter parking ban is in effect from Nov. 1 until April 1. On-street parking is not allowed between the hours of 1 a.m. and 6 a.m. Vehicles that are illegally parked will be ticketed and towed at the owner's expense if they interfere with snow removal operations.
