VIDEO: Acton's Gould's Plaza Goes Green

The Gould's family decided to put their green foot forward with solar energy.

in Gould's Plaza, 260 Great Road will have a ribbon-cutting event on Friday, May 18 at 1 p.m. to celebrate their recently installed solar panels. Lester Gould, co-owner of the plaza said , Acton Selectmen Dave Clough and Pamela Harting-Barrat, and Mark Durrenberger, president of New England Breeze Solar (who installed the panels) will be attending the event.

“We’re excited to go solar, because we believe in using renewable resources,” said  Gould. “The rebates and tax credits provided by the state and federal governments made it work for us financially, although it wasn’t until I spoke to Mark Durrenberger at New England Breeze Solar that I really understood how the pieces fit together. We’re very happy to be using a local company, and that soon we’ll be generating clean power at Gould’s.”
