ScupperJack's Has Closed

Owner of ScupperJack's at Nagog Park for 19 years says he closed the restaurant because of a recent injury.

According to a letter posted on the front door of ScupperJack’s, the restaurant has been closed due to health-related issues. Owner Jack Mendosa wrote in the letter that he recently suffered a bad fall, leading him to undergo surgery on both legs. According to Mendosa’s letter, he felt it was the proper time to end the 19 year-long restaurant at Nagog Park, not only because his recovery process might be lengthy, but also because of the hardships of the current economic climate.

“It has been a difficult few years with the economy and we have been hit hard; as so many of you can appreciate,” stated Mendosa in the letter. “We have struggled to continue to provide the level of excellence all of you have come to expect.”
