VIDEO: Shop Local to Give Local

Holiday shop at Acton's Woods Plaza today to raise money for the Acton Discovery Museums.

Woods Plaza businesses (intersection of Rts 27 and 119/2A) have figured a way to encourage the Acton community to shop local which will help benefit local organizations. Starting in October, nine professional business owners from Woods Plaza decided to donate a certain percentage of revenues to local charitable organizations one Thursday of each month.

In October, the group donated to the Healing Garden. In November, the group donated to Loaves & Fishes and this month it is .

"We value and appreciate all of our customers who support local businesses," said Wendy Baker, Vice President at Enterprise Bank. "This is a way that we can both show our appreciation and give back to the community."
