Willow Books For Sale

Owner David Didriksen put the bookstore on the market as his retirement nears and he pursues a music career.

Willow Books—an Acton institution since 1996— is up for sale.

Owner David Didriksen put the bookstore on the market as his retirement nears and he pursues a music career.

"The surrounding community has supported Willow Books & Cafe, and has been supported by it," Didriksen said in a statement. "Now is the perfect time to transition to a new owner who will bring the same passion for bookselling which has always been the hallmark of the store."

The store held countless events over the years. Authors like Jodi Picoult and Judy Collins and sports stars like Bill Russell, Bobby Orr, and Dustin Pedroia have made appearances. The store’s legendary Harry Potter nights were attended by thousands of fans.

Walter Huskins of Ridge Hill Partners is handling the sale.
