Gould's Plaza Receives "Clean Energy Champion Award"

Lester Gould of Gould’s Clothing and Gould’s Plaza in Acton is presented with the “Clean Energy Champion Award” from New England Clean Energy of Hudson. Pictured (left to right) are Jonathan Williams, New England Clean Energy Vice President of Installation and Service; Lester Gould; and New England Clean Energy President Mark Durrenberger. A plaque commemorating Gould’s production of 100 megawatt-hours of clean solar energy was mounted outside Gould’s Clothing. Gould’s solar electric system was installed in March 2012 by New England Clean Energy.

“We’ve been really happy with our system. We’re saving money, and reducing carbon,” said Gould.

“Lester and his family were among the first in the area to recognize the benefits of solar for business, which include lower energy prices and new income from solar credits,” said Durrenberger.
