No. 2 Story of the Year: Bedford Brothers Stabbing Case

A look back at what made news in Acton in 2012.

Three men were indicted by a grand jury in the alleged stabbing and assault of another man at the Acton Bowladrome May 9. Acton police announced the following charges:

  • Ryan Bedford, 23, of Acton; armed assault with intent to murder (by means of a knife;) assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury and two counts of assault and battery including one stemming from an alleged earlier attack on the victim on April 14.
  • Matthew Bedford, 21, of Acton, armed assault with intent to murder (by means of a knife;) assault and battery with a dangerous weapon causing serious bodily injury; assault and battery and assault with a dangerous weapon (a vehicle.)
  •  Hakeem Renelique, 23, of Boston, armed assault with intent to murder (by means of a knife;) assault and battery with a dangerous weapon with serious bodily injury and assault and battery.

Frank Dalli, also of Acton, was allegedly stabbed and assaulted by the three men.
