Time is running out for Massachusetts students to enter for a chance to win money for college in the 9th annual College Savings Art Competition. The deadline for children in grades K to 5 to submit their entries is October 31 at 5 p.m.
Sponsored by MEFA, the College Savings Art Competition is now accepting submissions of artwork depicting "What do I want to be when I graduate from college?" The contest, previously open only to students in grades 3, 4 and 5, now includes grades K, 1 and 2. Students must live in Massachusetts and may attend any public, private, charter or home-based school.
- Solarize Acton Deadline Extended to Oct. 31 With New No-Money-Down Option
Acton residents and business owners now have until Oct. 31 to contract for a reduced-cost solar power installation. There is also now a no-money-down Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) option.
In a PPA, instead of owning a system outright, residents just pay for the solar electricity produced, at rates less than NStar. Sign up now for a free solar power site assessment or learn more about this joint program sponsored by the Town of Acton, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and local community partners.
