Candidates for Acton Election Must Pull Papers by Friday

Papers must be pulled for this spring's election by Friday and returned by Monday.

Hoping to run for office in Acton? If you want to be on the ballot, time is running out to get the proper paperwork submitted.

According to the town website, Friday is the final day for residents to request nomination paperwork. Residents must pull papers by 5 p.m.

Upon pulling papers, Election Day hopefuls then have until Tuesday to return the papers with the required signatures.

Below is a list of positions that will be filled during the spring election:

  • Town Moderator - one spot for a one-year term
  • Board of Selectmen - two spots for three-year terms
  • School Committee - two spot for three-year terms and one spot for a three-year term (Additional seat per regionalization, effective July 2014)
  • Trustees, Memorial Library - two spots for three-year terms
  • Water Supply District of Acton - two spots for three-year terms
  • Trustees, West Acton Citizen's Library - one spot for a three-year term
  • Trustees, Elizabeth White Fund - one spot for a three-year term
  • Trustees, New Fireman's Relief Fund Acton - one spot for a three-year term
  • Trustees, Charlotte Goodnow Fund - two spots for three-year terms
Election Day in Acton is scheduled for Tuesday, April 1.
