ABRHS PTSO Presents "A Parent's Guide to the New Teenager"

The ABRHS PTSO invites the
community to come hear Tony Wolf, Ph.D., author of the best selling and critically acclaimed “Get Out of My Life but First Could You Drive Me and Cheryl to the Mall,
A Parent’s Guide to the New
Teenager
and his most recent book “I’d Listen to
My
Parents if They’d Just Shut Up,”
speak at the Acton-Boxborough Regional High School Auditorium on Tuesday, November 5th at 7 PM.

Dr. Wolf’s talk will describe
how as a part of normal psychological development teenagers develop what seems
to be an allergy to their parents.  It
will describe how teenagers today are different than in the past – more
outspoken and less immediately obedient.
Dr. Wolf will discuss how the behavior at home almost always has another
more civilized side that they show to the world outside and how this side is
the better indicator of who they are and who they will become.  The talk will include useful, and also very
definitely not useful, ways of dealing with today’s teenagers that can make a
real difference in day to day living with your teenager.
