Those
who help will also learn of the special history of this historic region of
Acton and some of the recent thinking of what might have transpired on this
land during its development in the late 17th century. Trail Through Time founder Linda McElroy
will be hand for this work, which is being done in conjunction with the Friends of Pine Hawk, an
Acton-based archeological interest group.

The
Acton Democratic Town Committee also has participated in two other very
successful community service events earlier this year. The first was the
collection of over 300 bags of groceries for the Acton Food Pantry and the
second was the removal of
over 14 cubic yards of invasive water
chestnuts from Robbins Mill Pond
in North Acton.

Individuals
and families are welcome to volunteer for November 17
from 1-3PM. We will meet at the end of Wheeler Lane (off
Route 27) in North Acton, but please RSVP beforehand to Bob Ferrara at rferrara@mit.edu o 978-263-8642.
