Dr. Todd H. Rider Leads a Series of Discussions on Science and Faith

Do science and Christian faith conflict? The Adult Christian Education Committee (ACE) invites you to join us at 10 AM on Sunday mornings as Dr. Todd H. Rider leads an eight-Sunday series of interactive presentations which incorporate colorful slides, scientific artifacts, and
recommended books for further reading. Although the series is built upon a common theme, the content of each session stands on its own. Weekly topics include historical examples of events in which science has challenged
believers. Join us Sundays from 10 - 10:30 AM, as follows:

February 3      Introduction: Bad and Good Examples from History

February 10    Creation of the Heavens and the Earth:
Astronomy, Geology, and the Bible

February 17    Evolution

February 24    Creationism and Intelligent Design

March 3          From Eden to Abraham: Noah’s Flood,
Methuselah, and the Tower of Babel

March 10        Creation Care: Global Warming, Pollution, and Biodiversity

March 17        Biomedical Issues: Stem Cell Research,
Cloning, Causes of Homosexuality, etc.

March 24        Near-Death Experiences and the Afterlife
